Bogan Bingo

Need something exciting, fun and different to do in London? Going out in London can become repetitive, yes there are a zillion bars and hundreds of new restaurants opening every week (subtle over estimation) but drinking and eating sometimes needs something extra...how about giving drunken people bingo dabbers, dressing up as aussie 'chavs' and heading on down to Clapham Common? Yes it really as good as it sounds.
COME ON
What is a Bogan you may ask? Our friends at Wiki say this: an individual who is recognised to be from an unsophisticated background or someone whose limited education, speech, clothing, attitude and behaviour exemplifies a lack of manners and education. Throw in some 80s tunes, comedy, prizes AND happy hour, your Thursday's need never be standard again.

A bit of air guitar
Our hosts for the evening are amazing we want their moves. The evening consists of lewd bingo calls many of which call for audience participation (not that I shall be repeating any here, this is SFW!) The atmosphere is incredible and my voice was sore from singing. I was ROBBED in game one with only two numbers to go, however not winning is a blessing in disguise, the winners are subject to public humiliation / harmless drunken fun. This includes but not limited to hoedown style dancing to the song 'there was a farmer who had a dog and bingo was his name o!'
Love this
Not as much as this...
Rocking out
ROBBED!!
All dabbed out
I will definitely be going back, only next time I plan on winning! Two games for £6 is a total bargain. The winner of game two got a £150 travel voucher and a £25 bar tab, not bad for a couple of hours having fun...Search for Bogan Bingo on Facebook to find the next event.

Clog Blog

So I've been quiet this week as work has been mayhental (I new word I have created based on being mayhem and mental...controlled mayhem mind you). I am now off for a very country wedding so will continue to be off line as I don't believe there to be internet connection where I am headed! In better news I relocated the whereabouts of my camera cord so photo uploads can continue business as usual.

Before the wedding season thoroughly kicks off and in between exhaustion fully setting in, I've found the best thing ever for tired tootsies. Today I received these...what a gift. Almost too good to just wear in the house, definite consideration for wearing to the office. Makes you want to do a little dance really!

Until the next time, I'm clogging off (god I'm funny in these)

Domestic Sluttery

Domestic Sluttery...how to cheat your way to the good life, basically my new bible. An amazing coffee table book I discovered a week or so ago.

Split into four sections...Home, Style, Living and Food & Drink this book has everything the modern day working woman needs to survive. Straight talking advice and top tips.

I will of course be updating you when I try the amazing looking recipes but for now here are some of my favourite quips:

Home:

You don't need to be an interior designer to try our tips, you just need a little inspiration, a bit of style and a bottle of wine or two. The rest will come together on its own. For the days that it doesn't, that's what the wine is for.
If you give domestic sluts a choice, laundry and dishes would be the very last thing we did. So we don't always do it - and we don't feel guilty about that either.

Food & Drink:

Domestic Sluts are always thinking about food
Breakfast may be the most important meal of the day, but it's not the best (no meal that starts before 9am ever could be). The wonder that is brunch lets you sleep in on Sunday, eat a glorious mix of the best breakfast goodies AND steak, all while drinking cocktails? Brunch the Domestic Sluts salute you.

Style:

Domestic Sluts don't believe in saving things for best
Number 2 in 'The 10 Style Commandments' = thou shalt not listen to thine mother (sorry Mum, but it's true)

Living:

Regardless of how busy the Domestic Slut gets, we always do our best to remember to laugh. Usually at ourselves
Packing. Ugh
Shop for anything on your lunch break. 8am: Make sure you're looking your best. Rushed shopping can't be done with dry shampooed hair, rubbish shoes and a hungover head. At least start with doing your make up on the train. 11am: Start shopping online while your boss isn't looking

Hands up, who else is a Domestic Slut?

What Should We Call Social Media?

I came across this Tumblr this week, what is that feeling you get when you discover something absolutely awesome?
WHEN I HEAR ABOUT NEWS BEFORE IT’S A TRENDING TOPIC ON TWITTER.

Yes this image should give you an idea of what this blog has. It is a number of small facts all of which are 100% accurate. Just read it, bookmark it and read it again in a couple of days. If you are into social media you will not be disappointed. My personal favourites (I won't spoil the fun be sharing the gif)

WHEN SOMEONE USES A HASHTAG ON FACEBOOK.
WHEN SOMEONE ASKS WHAT #FF STANDS FOR.
WHEN YOU POST ABOUT MASHABLE, AND THEN MASHABLE POSTS ABOUT YOU.
WHEN FACEBOOK WON’T LET YOU TAG AN EVENT/PAGE - OK I can't NOT share this gif, it is just too perfect
