Being Silly

Saturday nights are made for being silly with friends, especially in the run up to my birthday...the countdown commences.

This particular Saturday was Camden. Champagne pre game, singing, dancing and posing for the evening. Disclaimer...do not worry, we are NOT taking ourselves seriously...

Claridges

Your standard Wednesday night dilemma, where to have drinks? Claridges bar. Champagne, sushi. Gorgeous ambiance you absolutely cannot go wrong.

They also replace all the flowers in the place daily, today's theme was blush pink. Enjoy...I did.

Gravadlax is not hangover food

Nor should it be underestimated. It was the delicious dill dips fault. I polished off all this bread before the main event arrived.

2 hours sleep, a breakfast panini from Starbucks and a long wait a the airport = bad menu decision making
Get me home to bed....

*NB not that it wasn't delicious of course. It was I couldn't physically force it in my mouth. Lesson of the day: visiting the house of 100 beers in Berlin as your first stop of the evening and skipping dinner will lead to trouble. Don't say you haven't been warned...

Serious Stack-wich

Probably not one of the most interesting blog posts of all time, but this sandwich deserves some attention.

The day in between Marrakech and Berlin, lunch was proving a tricky ask. My usual go to food of convenience and craving is sushi but today I fancied a change. I am also usually limited by only having card to pay by (more so as its usually Amex) today I had cash. the city was my oyster. But I didn't fancy those either.

I walked up and down leather lane with nothing taking my fancy it all felt so done, and then I remembered the 'go to' bacon sandwich shop of a-more frequent than is healthy-Friday morning. I usually stare lovingly at the freshly made dishes and breads, salads and particularly avocado that all looks so appealing (however usually craving my bacon fix more than thinking ahead to lunch).

I took it as a good sight the queue was out the door, however this is a problem when yo want to look at the counter for inspiration. Chicken and avocado was the winner. Stacked on a bloomer bread with added mozzarella and salad. It was honestly...ridiculous.

Boring, maybe...but undeniably epic.

Does this outfit need a red lip?

Sh*t fashion girls say is a parady of, well what it says on the tin really...with it being London Fashion Week this is pretty apt and bloody funny, especially as I actually love saying these things (in an ironic way of course).

Watch and see what you pick up...

My personal faves: Off duty my BOOTY! Hashtag...chic to the next lev - and the title of this post, does this outfit need a red lip?

What a fab hungover Sunday picker-upper

From me, to you

There are no 'special occasions', just occasions. What you do with them makes them special.
Carrie Russell, 2012

Please use this as an excuse to not save things for 'best', drink champagne any time you feel like it and treat yourself. Often.

Sunshine on a Snowy Day

So, early February, in London - it's snowing. In Morocco it's hot hot hot. Winter sunshine has become a staple in my year. Egypt for New Years, Caribbean for my birthday, this year...Morocco for er, a well deserved break.

You can find out more about the cultural and relaxing parts of the trip on these previous blogs. However I just wanted to share with you the beauty of our hotel. So many pools and water slides, so little time. In the summer I imagine this place is havoc. Children must literally lose their minds. Luckily in February it was quiet. Like really quiet. Choice of sunbeds, no queue for breakfast and our choice of spa appointments. Bliss. The weather also picked up everyday we were there, but even on the first day it was like a lovely spring day in the UK. Drinking strawberry daiquiri's in my t-shirt, not too shabby.

Hopefully this can bring a bit of warmth to your day...I have hung up my shades indefinitely. Let's hope they are pulled out of retirement soon.
