Up on the roof: Selfridges Mini Golf

Some things to do in London are just too cool for school. Selfridges putting a mini golf course on their roof for the summer is one of them. When looking for great things to do in London on a sunny day that don't include sitting in the park you may scratch your head for a while, but this is awesome.

The 9 hole course costs £6 per person. 50% of the tickets are pre-bookable (and pretty much sold out for the remainder of the pop up), but every hour 50% of the tickets are reserved for walk ups. This does however mean that 'tee-time' on the hour can be very busy, although you can play the holes out of order.

All the holes are themed around London (obvs) and cake. Yum. The holes were really fun and I must say I owned Tower Bridge. Where many fell, I was holing it in two. Yes.

No balls will be escaping, nor any low flying pigeons

Big Ben and a back up over the treacherous hole 3
Water hazard, many failed

I owned
St Paul's jelly on a plate...pinball style

Get in
As well as the golf course there is also Daylesford Cafe, serving a mix of cream and afternoon teas and light bites to enjoy before or after your tough round of golf. It is so picturesque and quaint. Love at first sight.

We opted for the beef sandwich and Caesar salad. They were really tasty and small enough portions for lunch. I eyed up the £6.25 brownie on the dessert menu but I knew it wouldn't be as good as the delights I perused at Broadway Market the day previous. I really recommend checking out the Rooftop before it goes. Next year something different will take it's place. Walking up is a good idea as pre-booking cannot guarantee the weather!
